EFI’s Fiery® Corporate solutions provide unique capabilities not found in any other embedded print controller and offers a powerful set of functions that are designed specifically for office printing and publishing environments. These capabilities combined with the core Fiery color technology supply productive solution with specific focus on office publishing, color and overall page throughput. - Advanced color management capabilities. Fiery ColorWise®, provides a powerful in-RIP color management system that achieves the highest color quality possible and accurately simulates the output of other color devices. The Fiery Corporate solutions also include Real Postscript 3 with an EFI-Adobe co-developed RIP, ensuring that color PDF files accurately print from InDesign Illustrator and Acrobat 7.0.
In addition, the Fiery Graphics Arts features increase workflow and productivity, while adhering to industry color standards. These tools include EFI Spot-On®* for generating the best match for named colors, and Hot Folders* for streamlining job submissions including automated Microsoft Office® printing and integration of Fiery into existing graphic art flows. In-RIP Auto Trapping*, also produces a cleaner finish for page elements with adjacent colors. - Greater productivity. The Fiery system performance is enhanced by Smart RIP technology, which dramatically speeds the printing of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications. The system also provides custom built configurations, efficient resource utilization, productivity tools and logical workflow to achieve greater productivity.
- Flexible Image Capture Tools. EFI offers multiple scanning technologies that give office users a choice of how best to capture, access, manage and manipulate paper documents including Fiery Scan, Fiery Bridge, Fiery WebTools, EFI Desktop SE/Pro and EFI SendMe. All of these EFI solutions expand on standard capture functionality by adding user-friendly interfaces, seamless connectivity, and robust workflows that offer a complete array of choices and capabilities to meet the needs of even the most demanding office requirements, extending the reach of the office MFP to the desktop, corporate networks and into a true digital workflow.
- Advanced imposition capabilities. EFI Impose Fiery® Edition* allows entire documents to be imposed, edited and assembled quickly before RIPping the file. The software increases page layout accuracy, offers WYSIWYG advanced document editing capabilities, and supports the creation of unlimited user-defined imposition templates.
- Expanded connectivity. Fiery Netwise™ adds Web connectivity for printing via the Internet and provides the ability to perform administrative tasks through email. In addition, Fiery Enterprise solutions provide drivers for virtually every desktop and server.
- Enhanced security. EFI’s security solutions address the growing concerns in networked environments. IP Filtering controls access to printing devices, while Port Blocking controls access to Fiery systems through remote management. Safe Erase provides a higher-level of document security by removing traces of job data from the Fiery hard drive.
- Greater workflow control. The EFI Command WorkStation®, Windows Edition and EFI Command WorkStation, Macintosh Edition make managing demanding workflows easier by centralizing job management. The software automatically identifies the Fiery controllers and servers on the network and offers customization options for displaying information. The Command WorkStation’s WYSIWYG interface and linear workflow also streamline management and accommodate varying levels of expertise. Command WorkStation can be used locally at the Fiery or remotely at a client desktop, adding workflow flexibility.
- Support for Variable Data Printing. The VDP suite enables users to create static variable elements, and is compatible to VDP languages such as Fiery FreeForm™*. The Fiery VDP workflow is consistent for VDP and non-VDP jobs and across any VDP language, removing unnecessary complexity.
